Transfer Student Scholarships

Transfer scholarships will be awarded to students who transfer into the College of Liberal Arts in fall 2015 only. To verify your eligibility, please email claschol@umn.edu.

Transfer scholarships are awarded in the spring term for use during the following academic year. This application is intended for students who will have completed at least 24, but no more than 90, semester credits by fall 2015 and who will be entering the College of Liberal Arts as transfer students in fall 2015.

Charles & Myrtle Stroud Scholarships

Charles & Myrtle Stroud Scholarships provide one year of scholarship support for transfer students. Recipients will be awarded a scholarship of approximately $3,000 for the 2015-2016 academic year. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit and indicated financial need, with some consideration given to co- or extracurricular involvement.

Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better in all college coursework. They must also officially declare a CLA major and intend to pursue a degree from the College of Liberal Arts. Students who plan to complete their undergraduate program in a different college (e.g., Carlson School of Management, College of Biological Sciences, etc.) are not eligible for this scholarship.
